Now that the weather outside is getting colder many are on the lookout for the perfect coat, scarves, and gloves to keep warm. Here are a few ideas as to how you can keep warm this winter…

North Face, Columbia and Patagonia jackets are great to wear for class…

While pea coats, trench coats and the quilted jacket seen below can keep you warm and dress up any outfit…

Also scarves along with gloves and mittens can spice up any outfit.

While the long gloves are a little more dressy than the casual mittens they both keep your hands warm during the cold winter days..

Plaid Shirts

While some would say we are going back to the 90's grudge look I think the plaid shirts with jeans is actually kinda cute.
As seen above there are many different ways to wear this casual trend. You can even dress it up with a cute over sized purse or nice jeans and heels. I have actually seen a few girls wear them with leggings and boots and it looked pretty cute and comfortable.

No scarves

This fall/winter season we have seen scarves become a wardrobe staple. Whether the students are wearing the scarves as a fashion statement or for warmth, they should be able to wear this accessory. However, a high school in New York has prohibited students from wearing scarves. This action happened after a boy wore a scarf, which they believed was a form of “gang paraphernalia”. While the boy said he didn’t support gangs and he was wearing it because it matched his outfit the school still took action and set the band on scarves.

When I was looking at trends for the 2009 spring and summer line. I noticed that embellished stones, glass and crystals were seen alot of the runways (on jackets, dresses, and accessories). Is this look a classier version of "bling" and what do you think about trend?
